If you’re rocking an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad–alas not iPad 2 yet–a new release from Redsn0w makes it dead simple to perform an untethered jailbreak.
Note, you’ll still need to tether for the initial jailbreak of course but after you’ve liberated your iOS device you won’t need to re-tether each time you reboot your device.
