Features & Use

One of the cool things we noticed about the Full Version is there is no longer an ad banner at the bottom of the screen.

Now that your computer and remote are configured, you can then go through and browse the videos and music on your computer and play it through VLC. In fact it will let you browse your entire computer including external and network drives.

Other Features:

  • Control subtitles, aspect ratio, audio tracks, and delays
  • Picker control for fine control of volume
  • Use the Playlist – not available in free version
  • Access external drives
  • Landscape mode for more room to control the remote

Conclusion

Overall the remote control was responsive and it has a lot of cool features. Navigation through your media can be a bit confusing, especially if you have songs and video spread out through your system. If you’re looking for an easy to use, feature rich iPhone or iPod Touch remote for VLC, this is definitely a good solution. You can try out the free version which has limited features, then the full version is only $4.99.

Now you can get comfortable on the couch and watch movies or listen to tunes without the having to sit at the keyboard.

For this review we were only able to test it on Windows 7 and XP – both of which worked without any issues. They also make a version for Android, iPad, and WebOS.
