		<description>I have installed many Linux versions and my favorite for old hardware which happens to be the easiest to install is the Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (aka Dapper Drake) version with support through 2008.  It does not have the desktop effects like Beryl and Compiz built into the system, but with older hardware those effects do not work well.

I do recommend downloading the updated Firefox 2.0 browser because Dapper only comes with Firefox 1.5.</description>
