		<description>i would use Knoppix to start (bootable, without removing your XP, or having to DUAL BOOT), then try WinLinux for a bit, then when you feel confident enough, jump into an acctual fully installed OS. Suse is pretty good and user friendly  as well. 

 Be forewarned though, that your presario most likely has a Recovery Partition rather then restore disks, so if you do mess up the partitions, you may not be able to get XP back unless you get your full Recovery Disks from HP</description>
